For a bit of context on this review I used to live less than a mile from this hotel for about 5 years, ontop of this I work in the hospitality industry today and speak with tons of properties every day. When I say this is a true gem within Asheville it is 1000% true whether you are a local wanting a stay-cation or someone wanting to experience something genuinely Asheville the Windsor Boutique has this in droves!! From the homey beautifully decorated rooms to the incredibly talented staff this is a business that embodies what Asheville is all about. Again this is a cannot miss stay in Asheville and I will only be staying here from now on.

I’m writing this as we walk out the door on our last day, and I can honestly say I am officially obsessed. What an extraordinary place. The decor, the overall vibe, and especially the staff all far exceeded my expectations. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated — from the luxurious robes and cozy throws to the local coffee, chilled beer glasses, beautiful artwork, and even the perfect shower pressure. The room was spotless, the complimentary drinks and snacks were such a lovely touch, and having a TV in the bedroom made it feel extra comfortable. What stood out most was the staff. Every single person I encountered was so wonderful to interact with that I kept wondering, “Could they be the owner?” That’s how much care and pride everyone seemed to have. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who checked us in, because she was especially helpful, warm, and friendly. On our way out, I also had a lovely conversation with Liam at the front desk, which was the perfect, gracious send-off. This stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I cannot recommend it highly enough and already can’t wait to come back.

What a great location and hotel! Center of downtown. We had a room right at the front lining the street but the bedroom was tucked back and quiets. Huge space. The dude with the mustache that checked us in was super friendly. Free drinks and snacks was a plus too. Support smaller independent business and stay at the Windsor!

This is the place to stay at in downtown Asheville. Outstanding experience at The Windsor Boutique Hotel in downtown Asheville! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The location couldn’t be better, with amazing restaurants, cozy coffee shops, charming bookstores, and plenty of nightlife all within walking distance. It’s the perfect spot for exploring the city, going for a morning run, or simply soaking in Asheville’s vibrant downtown energy. The rooms were beautifully designed, spacious, clean, and full of character, blending luxury with a cozy, historic charm. A special highlight was meeting Penny and Wally, the hotel’s adorable dogs who add so much personality and warmth to the place. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, the Windsor offers an unforgettable blend of comfort, style, and southern hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone who loves boutique charm and top-notch service!

We had a great three-night stay at The Windsor Boutique Hotel. The location is excellent and makes it very easy to explore Asheville. The hotel offers private parking that is conveniently located nearby, which was very helpful. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully designed with a lot of character. The bedding was extremely comfortable and made it easy to get a great night’s sleep. We also loved the complimentary drinks and snacks—they were delicious and a nice touch. The reception staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional stay - thoughtful, stylish, and perfectly located! We had a wonderful stay at Windsor Boutique Hotel! The rooms are large and spacious, with a full kitchen that’s incredibly well equipped—everything you’d need for cooking, plus great coffee setups. And super clean! The design is cozy yet modern, with a really cool aesthetic that makes the space feel both comfortable and elevated. What really stands out is the attention to detail. In-room washer and dryer, cozy robes and slippers, bottled water and snacks available in the lobby—every little touch feels intentional and guest-focused. The hotel is also filled with unique artwork; it genuinely feels like walking through a gallery at every turn. The location is excellent—walkable to nearby cafés, markets, and bars, making it easy to explore and enjoy the neighborhood without needing a car. A special thank you to Liam and Erika, who were so warm, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the experience even better and truly set this hotel apart. Highly recommend Windsor Boutique Hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and a thoughtfully curated experience.

Wow! We had a wonderful stay at the Windsor Boutique Hotel. The rooms were beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. The bed was really comfortable. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer was the main selling point for us. The parking situation is easy-peasy and you can unload in front of the hotel before parking. The front desk staff is very kind and professional. The location can't be beat. We were able to walk to everything we needed and never had to use our car once all week! I hope to stay again during my next trip to Asheville!

Our family had such a wonderful stay at Windsor Boutique Hotel in Asheville. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and convenience. Traveling as a family of five, we especially appreciated having a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and oven. It made mornings easy and gave us flexibility with meals — something that truly makes a difference when traveling with kids. The added touches, like games available for the children, made the space feel even more family-friendly and inviting. The location could not have been better. We were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and activities throughout downtown Asheville, which made exploring the city effortless. Being able to park and enjoy the city on foot added so much ease to our trip. Windsor blends charm, comfort, and practicality beautifully. It felt like the perfect home base for exploring Asheville, and we would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend for families looking for a stay that feels both elevated and approachable.
